  • Immaculata University Gabriele Library
CLIENT Immaculata University
LOCATION Suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
TYPE New Construction
SIZE 52,300 sq. ft.

Breslin Architects was honored with an “Architectural Merit Award” from the American Institute of Architects for the design of this building. The awards jury commented that the design of the new library successfully acknowledges the rich architectural heritage of the Immaculata Campus. As with other campus buildings, the library is constructed of granite ashlar walls above a limestone base. The red metal roof is analogous to terra cotta tiled roofs used throughout the campus. And while modern in spirit, the noble carillon tower and gabled entrance gesture to a more classical style of architecture.
