his AIA “Award of Merit” project was constructed in phases during which the school remained fully operational. The building, constructed in the 1960’s, had crude window glazing. Re-cladding the exterior boosted thermal performance by an estimated 24%, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and added aesthetic appeal. Natural daylighting, a significant by-product of the reconstruction, provides energy savings as well as supports the concept of sustainable design.
