The new 3,000-square-foot Toddler Center replaces a temporary structure on the Chester County Intermediate Unit campus, providing a permanent, nurturing space for infant and toddler care.

Classrooms are filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows along the east façade, while a deep roof overhang and window shades control glare and heat. Exposed glulam beams and bright colors create a warm, calming interior. Each room opens to a shared playground, encouraging outdoor play and direct connection to nature.

Designed with site sustainability in mind, porous paving, native landscaping and onsite detention were employed to manage and reduce stormwater runoff. The result is a quiet, light-filled, and environmentally conscious facility tailored for early learning and well-being.
