our process

Design Workshops
Our firm principals are actively involved through every step of the process facilitating clear and consistent communication while keeping a pulse on your project’s budget, scope, and schedule. Regular design meetings and workshops with your team help us tailor your project to your specific needs.

Cutting-Edge Technology
We utilize cutting edge virtual models to help you visualize your project every step of the way. Throughout design, our model software integrates drawings with the virtual model assisting us in creating 3D floor plans, photorealistic renderings, animations, and 3D-printed models. During the documentation phase, this technology assists us in creating a well-coordinated set of construction documents through coordination, clash detection, and cost estimating capabilities. These capabilities help in obtaining a lower bid and in reducing the amount of change orders during construction.

Quality Control
Our track record of schedule and cost control is excellent. As the testimonial letters that follow attest, our clients enjoy costs that match the budget, and projects completed on time. Each project team has a professional assigned to quality control who is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of project documents.

Sustainability
At Breslin Architects, we believe that every project must incorporate sustainable design principles and promote the health and well-being of occupants. We support the desire of our clients to be proactive and visible in their expression of these concepts to their community. Starting with the Feasibility Study, our team evaluates the opportunity for sustainable features and systems that are achievable, economical and offer the greatest benefit in operating costs and stewardship of resources. The most successful sustainable solutions are those that are integrated early, with input from key stakeholders and with a holistic view rather than simply “applied” in a checklist fashion.
Our firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. 58% of our professional staff are LEED® accredited professionals.
All of our schools routinely employ sustainable features such as low flow toilets and fixtures, energy efficient lighting and HVAC systems, passive solar design, maximum daylighting, and recycled content to name a few.The Souderton High School uses extensive daylight harvesting and utilizes a recycled grey water system to flush toilets and to irrigate 70 acres of play-fields. The Octorara Intermediate School has a geothermal HVAC system and pollutant reducing rain gardens.
